Girls speak an average of 20,000 words per day, while boys only speak about 7,000 words per day. That means there is plenty of room for mistakes! “Big Mouth Sally" was written to help children understand the importance of being careful and watching their words. If we make an effort to be kind to each other, we can make a big difference in the world around us! 

Mave Lough Duke is a twin, Author, Co–Author, and Designer. She enjoys writing and developing stories that help children understand the value of good character. Her advice for writing is, “Simply to start! An idea can lead so many places; just write it down and let your creative journey begin. Believe in yourself, and give your imagination a chance to run wild!" 

Mave (like Wave) and her twin sister, Erin, have co–authored a variety of collegiate children’s books. She is the owner of College Spirit Books. Big Mouth Sally is the first Christian book that she has published to date. Mave is a small group leader at Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, AL, where she resides with her husband. 

Darren Gate is an Illustrator based in Bonnie Glasgow, Scotland. He illustrates for children’s picture books, young fiction, educational and resource materials. He’s also been known to create prints or weddings, events, festivals, charities and even the occasional family portrait.
